In our search for happiness, we use our time and energy seeking so many different things. We may change our job, our partner, our home, our situation, but we will never know real satisfaction until we change our restless, discontented mind. The mind of desirous attachment is the main cause of our discontent, relationship difficulties and craving.

On this course we will learn practical methods and Buddhist meditations that enable us to let go of attachment and find peace in our circumstances. When our mind is free from distraction and craving we are able to enjoy its natural stillness and live in the present moment. Life doesn't always go to plan but through the practice of contentment we can learn to keep a happy mind in all situations.

Cost $30 (includes afternoon tea). Booking essential.

Kelsang Kyobpa is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Compassion Buddhist Centre in Auckland. She understands clearly how Buddhist practice solves our problems and brings about
peace and happiness. With sincerity and insight Kyobpa inspires us to bring the teachings of Buddha into our daily lives.

Meditation
is a way of calming the mind, making us more peaceful, balanced and focused in our daily lives. Ultimately, it enables us to awaken our spiritual potential and find lasting joy and contentment.

Buddhism is a path of individual transformation. It teaches us to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. By developing a more positive outlook, and in particular by deepening our wisdom and compassion, we can improve the quality of our life and gain great power to help others.
